Waterjet technology is, quite literally, revolutionizing the world of custom cutting and fabrication. We are proud to be at the forefront of our industry. Here’s what you need to know…

How Does Waterjet Work?

And Why Is It So Great?

Our experienced team of designers utilize state-of-the-art waterjet technology to work with a level of versatility and precision previously thought impossible. Our arsenal of high-tech waterjets can cut nearly any material, from stone to metal, effectively revolutionizing the precision cutting world.

Waterjet design technology uses a fine-tuned, cool-temperature, high-pressure erosion process that can cut through virtually any width of material with a stream of water. This stream of water moves at an astounding 60,000 psi without subjecting the material that is being cut to excess heat, friction, or vibration. In traditional cutting methods, these had frequently been the cause of damage, often leading to issues such as warping, hardening, or distortion in the final product, particularly in materials in the vein of acrylics and plastics.

Waterjet technology yields a degree of cutting accuracy in designs that is within .005”.

That’s pretty phenomenal.

Waterjet is also unique in that it enables us to replicate our work exactly—down to the millimeter. This gives us the ability to replicate our results with 100% precision an infinite number of times, which is `extremely important when “fit” is a factor. Indeed, products of Waterjet design and cutting jobs can fit into large systems or creations with absolute reliability.

What Materials Do We Work With?

All of them.

That’s the short answer.

Waterjet design technology can deliver excellent results with pretty much any kind of material, no matter the density, abrasiveness, or thickness. The only requirement is that the material can be laid flat so our engineers can work their magic. Each material that we service will be treated with carefully-tailored levels of pressure and garnet to ensure fail-proof precision and clean, dependable results.
